All new developments.

For a change, the new developments this time are not related to new things that I have hand crafted. Thats the bad news, but do please read on.

I have finally gotten around to blowing the 7 or 8 years of dust off of the old HTML books and started writing a website for ARPE. It is active now, but by no means finished or ready for business. You can have a quick peek if you like. It is nestled away in the dark back rooms of my personal website. I'll just show you through - please follow me.

When the items go live I will be accepting payment through paypal, and eventually somewhere like worldpay as well. All this means that you do not have to be a member of any of the craft sites that I list on to be able to pay for my items.

I will carry on trading through Folksy.com though as I do really like it there.

I am constantly updating the site so keep checking back. I will send out another post once it is finished and ready to open its doors for business.

**UPDATE**

Site now open for business!!
Yes thats right, at 2000hrs BST the ARPE site opened its doors for trading.
Paypal is in action and working well (fingers crossed).

Enjoy!

No longer on DaWanda

Hi there. Due to a couple of factors I have decided to close down the DaWanda Branch of the Pagan Emporium. This is partly to do with a very ugly email I recieved from a religious fundamentalist (religion shall remain nameless) informing me that I was a heretic who was spreading evil and corrupting the pure. But mainly to do with the fact that there really were not many sales comming in through the site and I was paying listing fees there.
So from now on I will be able to concentrate more on the Folksy.com store and by taking any individual commissions for specific items.

Future (ambitious) project?

Have recently been looking at the products that I am selling (and still in production to go on sale) and one of those random thoughts struck me. The perfact addition to accompany my collection? I dont know - so I am looking for some feedback on this.

I am now seriously considering creating a set of Tarot cards. This would involve me drawing out the design for the 21 picture cards and getting them printed some how. Now the printing is an issue that I can face later on down the line. What concerns me is that I dont really know anything about Tarot (always been more of a Rune man myself), but have not been able to shake this feeling that I need to design a deck.

What are your thoughts on this?

*UPDATE* - Another thought occurs! Seeing as one of my passions and strong points is photography, what do you think of a photo based tarot deck. Obviously it wouldn't be straight forward photos, but rather heavily photoshoped in a typical gothika style featuring all the embelishments associated with traditionally based pagan / wiccan / gothic art.

Wooden Runes

This set of green wooden runes, is one of three sets that I have just posted up at the shop. They are a soft wood (I think pine or similar) that have been stained green and then branded with the Elder Futhark runic alphabet. I then polished them with linseed oil and coated with natural beeswax.

Also, I am working on some other sets of wooden runes that are slightly bigger and taken from a fir tree in my Mothers garden. These will also go up on folksy once finished and will be treated with both linseed oil and beeswax.

More orders.

Well good news - The Folksy store seems to be gaining some forward momentum with more orders comming in. I have now sold two of the personalised stone Sigils and a set of silver/purple glass runes.
Hope for more soon!
Keep an eye out for new items available on the store soon as I am creating another set of rune stones (both stone and wood) and some wooden pendents (see recent blog on the subject).

New pyrography collection

I have just aquired some lovely fir tree branches which I am in the process of cutting into tiles which I am going to be using a pyro-pen to burn various designs on. Currently I have created one with my celtic cross design which will be available on folksy as a pendent within the next couple of days.

I will also be taking custom orders for particular runes or personalised Sigils (just as with the stone service that is currently available).

On top of these services I am also working on a set of wooden runes which will hopefully be available within the next couple of weeks.

All of the wooden ranges will be finished in either Linseed oil or natural beeswax (This will be determined by trial later on today).

Lastest projects.

As well as continuing to finish the casts of the foliate man plaque, I have also created a celtic inspired design which features a central pentagram with four Triquettra's set into shields leading out from the centre.
This isn't the finalised design, but is a sample of how it will look. I am working on making it a little more intricate and elegant. Let me know what you think.

The plan is that I will incorperate it into some of my future products, such as engraved mirrors, wooden pendants, t-shirts, etc...

New Glass Pebble Runes.

Have just finished a batch of Glass Pebble runes in the new colour of Royal Blue.
They have just been listed on both Avie Rose's Pagan Emporium stores over at Folksy and DaWanda.
I really love the deep blue colour of these stones, they really are just as eye catching as the silver coated purple sets already available.

Personalised Sigils

I have started designing sigils based on the Elder Futhark. This is a version of one that I created for my self, then engraved onto a matching stone to my personal set of runes.
Over on my folksy.com shop I have set up a listing for this service. I will endevour to meet any specific requirements that you may have, i.g. stone type, paint colour, etc...

Also now available on DaWanda.com!
