EXTRA!! EXTRA!! Exclusive!

Hi there everyone. To celebrate the opening of the new website www.adam-august.co.uk/folksy there are a couple of exclusives to the site.

Firstly I am offering a new Sigil service - This compliments the current service where you as a client order a runic sigil based on you name.
The new exclusive offer to the ARPE website is a charm sigil. Upon purchase you inform me what you require the stone for (i.e. have been unlucky with romantic relationships and therefore require a luck charm for finding a desirable romantic attachment). I would then combine the corresponding runes into a new sigil which form a meaning relevant and unique to your circumstance that you can use as a charm.

Secondly, until the 30th June '09, there will be a free matching name based sigil with every set of runes purchased from the site.

So, hope to see you soon!

More orders.

Well good news - The Folksy store seems to be gaining some forward momentum with more orders comming in. I have now sold two of the personalised stone Sigils and a set of silver/purple glass runes.
Hope for more soon!
Keep an eye out for new items available on the store soon as I am creating another set of rune stones (both stone and wood) and some wooden pendents (see recent blog on the subject).

New pyrography collection

I have just aquired some lovely fir tree branches which I am in the process of cutting into tiles which I am going to be using a pyro-pen to burn various designs on. Currently I have created one with my celtic cross design which will be available on folksy as a pendent within the next couple of days.

I will also be taking custom orders for particular runes or personalised Sigils (just as with the stone service that is currently available).

On top of these services I am also working on a set of wooden runes which will hopefully be available within the next couple of weeks.

All of the wooden ranges will be finished in either Linseed oil or natural beeswax (This will be determined by trial later on today).

Slate Runes - UPDATE

Hi there. The slate runes are now finished... TaDaa!
I know I mentioned in an earlier post that I would paint on the sigils with a hand-made natural paint, but once I had actually engraved each stone, I felt that painting them wouldn't actually add anything to them as the etching on slate doesn't seem to fade as it does with other stone.

So, I will pop them up on both shops tonight and see if they sell. Just have to go get on the sewing machine now and make a pouch for them.

Quick late one

Just opened up a second store over on DaWanda.com (could it be I have started a virtual "chain" out of Avie Rose's Pagan Emporium?)

Slate Runes

As I said in yesterdays post, I have got hold of some great chips of slate which I am in the process of crafting a new set of runes with.
I have decided that I will engrave the sigils onto the stone and am then going to paint them -as I often do - the difference being that this time, instead of using enamel I will attempt to make a paint out of natural pigments.

I think I will powder up some iron oxide for the pigment and possibly use egg yolk as a bonding material (or something similar).

Once they are done, I will put some pics up here and probably try to sell them over on the Folksy.com store.

New projects - almost completed.

I have just found some great 'chips' of slate, that I thought would make a really great set of runes, they are going to look really 'rustic' I think. Will post up some pictures as soon as they are done.

Also I have been working on a plaque of the green man for quite some time now (must get round to posting up the pictures!) which is now completed. I just have to sort out a few issues that I am having with the moulding and then they should be ready for sale. I am personally really pleased with them. Hope everyone thinks that it is alright.
